Hear any video in your language.
Dubnative translates a video's captions and reads them aloud in a natural voice, in time with the speaker. The original audio drops to the background, so you still hear the room.
Free to use. Works on YouTube videos that have captions.
How it works
No upload and no waiting for a finished dub. Dubnative works while you watch.
Reads the captions
Dubnative takes the captions the video already has, either written by the creator or generated by YouTube, and joins them into whole sentences.
Translates for speaking
Each sentence is translated with the sentences around it and the video's title as context, then shortened to fit the time the speaker takes to say it.
Speaks in sync
A natural voice reads each sentence as it starts. It follows pause, seek and playback speed, and turns the original audio down while it talks.
Made for actually watching
Small details that make a dubbed video easy to follow.
Dub, subtitles, or both
Listen to the dub, read translated subtitles, or show the translation above the original line to learn as you watch.
Never cut off mid-sentence
With “Finish sentences” the video waits a moment for a long sentence to end. “Follow the video” keeps strictly to the video's clock instead.
Original audio, ducked
Choose how loud the original stays. It is lowered smoothly while the dub speaks and stays down through quick back-and-forth dialogue.
Your choice of voice
Natural AI voices, or any voice installed on your computer, with a preview button to hear it first.
Pronunciation you control
Teach Dubnative how to say names, brands and terms. Your list stays in your browser.
Keeps working when limits run out
When the day's AI allowance is used up, Dubnative switches to your device's own translator and voice instead of stopping.
Languages
Translate into any of these languages. Most have a natural AI voice; the rest use a voice installed on your computer.

Questions
Which videos work?
YouTube videos that have captions, including auto-generated ones. Videos without any captions can't be dubbed yet. Support for other video sites is in testing.
Does Dubnative record or upload the video?
No. It never touches the video or its audio. Only the caption text is sent for translation and speech. See the privacy policy for exactly what is sent.
Do I need an account?
No. The free plan works without signing in or giving an email address.
Why is the dub sometimes a little behind?
A translated sentence can take longer to say than the original. Dubnative speeds the voice up slightly to fit, and with “Finish sentences” briefly holds the video so you don't miss the end of a sentence.
What happens when I reach the daily limit?
Dubbing continues with your device's built-in translator and voices. The AI allowance resets every day at 00:00 UTC.
