Dubnative

Terms of Use

Last updated: October 22, 2026

These terms apply to the Dubnative browser extension, the Dubnative API it uses and this website (together, “Dubnative”). By installing or using Dubnative you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

1. The service

Dubnative translates the captions of videos you watch and reads the translation aloud. It is in beta: features, languages and limits may change, and it may sometimes be unavailable.

2. Translations and voices are machine-made

Translations are produced by AI and can be wrong, incomplete or out of sync with the video. They can't be better than the captions they come from. Don't rely on Dubnative where accuracy matters, such as medical, legal, financial or safety information.

3. Your use

We may limit or block access that breaks these rules.

4. Free and paid plans

The free plan includes a daily and monthly allowance of AI translation and AI voice, described on the home page. When it runs out, Dubnative uses your browser's own translator and voices. We may change the free allowance. Paid plans are not available yet; their terms, including billing and refunds through our payment provider Polar, will be added here before they launch.

Founding member codes. During the beta we give out invite codes that turn on the Pro plan's allowance for free until the date that comes with the code. A code works for the number of installations it was issued for, can't be exchanged for money, and must not be sold. We may end a plan from a code that was shared publicly or misused. When the plan ends, the installation returns to the free plan.

5. Privacy

How Dubnative handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Ownership

Dubnative's software, name and logo belong to us. The videos and captions you watch belong to their owners; using Dubnative gives neither you nor us any rights to them.

7. No warranty

Dubnative is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of Dubnative. While Dubnative is free, our total liability to you is limited to USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

9. Ending use

You can stop using Dubnative at any time by removing the extension. We may stop offering Dubnative, or part of it, at any time.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and for significant changes give notice in the extension. Using Dubnative after a change means you accept the updated terms.
